AI DISCLOSURE This AI Disclosure explains, in plain language, how Flow VIN Tune (part of the Flow.VIN ecosystem) uses artificial intelligence in the Service, and just as importantly, what the AI does not do. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Tuning Disclaimer and Privacy Policy. Where this document refers to "we", "us" or "Flow VIN Tune", it means the operator of the Service; "the Service" means the Flow VIN Tune ECU-tuning service; and "you" means you, the customer. 1. AI ASSISTS OUR TUNERS — IT DOES NOT REPLACE THEM The Service is AI-assisted and human-approved. We use AI as a tool to help our human tuners work, not as a substitute for their judgment. The AI prepares and proposes; a qualified human tuner decides. No file ever reaches you on the strength of the AI alone. 2. WHAT THE AI DOES For ECU families that the Service recognises and supports, the AI analyses the original file you upload (your "Original File") and proposes a constrained candidate calibration delta — a Stage 1 or Stage 1+ change that stays within predefined, bounded limits set by us. It also produces internal analysis scores, including confidence, outlier and risk markers, to help the reviewing tuner. 3. WHAT THE AI DOES NOT DO - It does not perform unconstrained or open-ended generation of binary files. It can only propose a bounded delta within predefined limits on a recognised ECU family. - It does not and cannot produce emissions-control modifications. The Service performs only Stage 1 and Stage 1+ calibration changes and produces no DPF, EGR, SCR, catalyst-delete or any defeat-device modification. - It does not act on unknown or unsupported ECUs. If the Service does not recognise your ECU family, no AI candidate is produced; the order goes to manual tuner review instead. - It never delivers files. The AI cannot make any file available to you for download. - It does not control, operate, drive or otherwise interact with any vehicle. It works only with files, scores and metadata. 4. THE ADVISORY EXPLAINER A separate advisory AI provider, Anthropic, may produce a plain-language explanation of the potential risks identified during analysis. This explainer receives only analysis scores and metadata. IT NEVER RECEIVES THE CONTENTS OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILE, AND IT NEVER RECEIVES RAW PERSONAL DATA SUCH AS YOUR RAW VIN. Any explanation it produces is AI-generated and is an aid to understanding, not advice or a guarantee. How we handle the limited data sent to this provider, including any transfer outside the EU, is described in our Privacy Policy. 5. HUMAN OVERSIGHT — THE CONTROLLING STEP HUMAN APPROVAL IS THE HEART OF HOW THE SERVICE WORKS. A QUALIFIED HUMAN TUNER REVIEWS EVERY CANDIDATE. THAT TUNER HAS FULL AUTHORITY AND THE COMPETENCE TO MODIFY THE CANDIDATE, TO REJECT IT, OR TO REQUEST CHANGES, AND CONDUCTS A SUBSTANTIVE REVIEW — NOT A RUBBER STAMP. NO FILE CAN BE DOWNLOADED (NO DELIVERED FILE IS ISSUED) UNLESS A HUMAN TUNER HAS EXPLICITLY APPROVED THAT SPECIFIC FILE VERSION. THIS IS ENFORCED TECHNICALLY: A DOWNLOAD IS ONLY EVER ISSUED FOR A TUNER-APPROVED FILE VERSION, NEVER AUTOMATICALLY. Because a human tuner reviews and approves every file, decisions about you in connection with the Service are not made solely by automated means. If you wish, you can use the support options in your account to ask for human review of the outcome, to express your point of view, or to contest the outcome. The tuner remains the decision-maker. 6. LIMITATIONS — PLEASE READ THIS THE AI'S OUTPUT IS A PROPOSAL, AND A PROPOSAL CAN BE WRONG. THE AI IS NOT INFALLIBLE. IT DOES NOT TEST ON YOUR PHYSICAL VEHICLE. RESULTS DEPEND ON FACTORS WE CANNOT CONTROL, INCLUDING THE CONDITION OF YOUR VEHICLE, THE FUEL USED, THE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT AND HOW THE VEHICLE IS USED. THE CONFIDENCE, OUTLIER AND RISK SCORES ARE AN AID TO REVIEW. THEY ARE NOT A GUARANTEE, A SAFETY RATING, OR AN ASSURANCE OF ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME. THE USE OF AI DOES NOT CHANGE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DOES NOT REDUCE, REPLACE OR OVERRIDE THE TUNING DISCLAIMER OR THE TERMS OF SERVICE, WHICH CONTINUE TO APPLY IN FULL. AI ASSISTANCE IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF ANY RESULT, AND IT IS NOT A REPRESENTATION THAT ANY FILE IS SAFE, WARRANTY-SAFE, OR LAWFUL FOR YOUR INTENDED USE OR IN YOUR JURISDICTION. YOU REMAIN RESPONSIBLE FOR LAWFUL USE, AS SET OUT IN THE TUNING DISCLAIMER AND THE TERMS OF SERVICE. 7. PROVENANCE AND AUDIT Every analysis the AI performs is logged. Each file version is identified by an immutable SHA-256 hash, and each analysis, score and human decision is recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail. This lets us, and our tuners, trace exactly what was proposed, by which provider and model, and what the human tuner decided. 8. YOU ALWAYS KNOW IT IS AI-ASSISTED AND HUMAN-APPROVED We do not present AI output as the work of a human, and we do not present human work as fully automated AI. You are always dealing with an AI-assisted, human-approved process: the AI proposes, and a human tuner decides and approves before any Delivered File is delivered to you. We aim to comply with applicable AI transparency law, including the EU AI Act, and this disclosure is part of how we do that.
